Custom Line 106’ Among The Winners
Custom Line 106’ is crowned best “Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts Below 500GT 30m to 34.9m” at the prestigious World SuperYacht Awards. Executive Yacht would like to congratulate our partners, Ferretti Group and Custom Line, for this important achievement.
This has been a year of outstanding achievements for the Custom Line brand that, earlier this summer, reported record sales, with four new yachts sold in just a month!
Custom Line, which builds its entire fleet of superyachts for sale at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, has scored another important win with Custom Line 106’ IV Dream. The 106-feet-long superyacht, from the Custom Line planing line, was bestowed the top prize in the category “Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts Below 500GT 30m to 34.9m” at the World Superyacht Awards 2020.
The globally acclaimed event, organized annually by Boat International, recognizes the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the most remarkable luxury yachts from across the world. Known for its credibility, prestige, and glamour, the World Superyacht Awards set apart from all other yacht awards, thanks to a unique judging panel comprising current and former superyacht owners.
The prizes are awarded to recently designed yachts that stand out for their technical features, style, innovation, and design solutions. Due to the global circumstances, the award ceremony took place online on November 13 in front of a global audience and included special video messages from His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and Sir Ben Ainslie.
Awarded Luxury Yacht For Sale
A product of collaboration between Francesco Paszkowski Design and Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department, the Custom Line 106’ IV Dream impressed the judges with the contemporary design of her sleek hull lines that give the yacht a streamlined and powerful look.
The wide-open exterior spaces feature pared-down sophistication and the utmost in comfort for the owner and his family, with 220 square meters of interconnected walkable surfaces, from the flybridge to the bow. The interiors, tailormade to reflect the owner’s personal taste are filled with natural light through the extensive full-height glazing on the main deck, amplifying the feeling of seamless continuity with the water.
Additional winning features, according to the jury, are the beach club, which also functions as a garage for the tender – thanks to a unique system patented by the Custom Line – and the state-of-the-art interior design of the four guest cabins and the crew quarters.
The yacht’s performance was also reported to be outstanding: The two MTY diesel engines (1,939 kW each) drive the superyacht to a top speed of 26 knots, while at the cruising speed of 22 knots, her range is 400 nautical miles, and fuel consumption 780 liters per hour.
The prize awarded to Custom Line 106’ IV Dream is one more proof of the brand’s commitment to design innovation and quality of construction. This new recognition culminates a great year, with 15 launches in 2020 made possible — thanks to the dedication of the Custom Line team and the ability to continue seamlessly the production.
The next two 106’ Custom Line yachts for sale, hull number 7 and 9 of the series, are currently in production and expected to be completed by spring 2021. Although hull number 7 is currently under contract, 106’ Custom Line hull number 9 is available for sale through Executive Yacht.
