28 Jan Increased demand continues to drive Yacht inventory levels in 2021
Yacht Market Update
The Time is Now
Brand new, luxurious, and available for immediate delivery, these new-build luxury yachts for sale are some of the very few remaining in stock in our partner showroom in Florida.
According to CTV News, a Canadian boating survey found that Ontario boat and yacht dealers saw in 2020 a 26% increase in sales, over the year before. There was also an increase in rentals and leases of boats of 17% over the previous year. The survey also found among boat dealers 80% anticipate low supply or to be sold out by May of this year.
“It’s the highest demand I’ve ever seen. The market wasn’t really prepared for this and there was no way to prepare due to the global situation,” said Derek Mader, CEO of Executive Yacht in a recent interview at CTV News’ Consumer Alert.
The statistics speak volumes. If you’re considering acquiring a new boat or yacht in 2021, you may want to lock in a purchase before the Canadian boating season begins.
And if you plan to use or keep your new yacht in a popular year-round locale, like The Bahamas or Florida, be aware that the market is on fire! On a year-to-year basis, new boat registrations in the US are up 37.3%, according to preliminary numbers provided by Statistical Surveys, a Michigan firm that tracks new boat registrations.
